On Saturday, July 23, 2016 Boston Children’s Museum will host Boston’s first official Maker Faire in collaboration with Maker Media, Inc. and CBS Boston. The Boston Mini Maker Faire will be held on Fort Point Channel in front of the Museum.
Boston Mini Maker Faire will celebrate the things people create themselves, and the makers who create them—from the newest technologies and gizmos, to woodworking, sculptures and food. This event will inspire and engage adults and children alike, and will welcome makers, inventors, artists, designers, engineers, entrepreneurs, scientists, tinkerers, and all sorts of interesting people who will share their passion, their process, and their know-how.
Confirmed participants for 2016 already include Artisan’s Asylum, Einstein’s Workshop, The Eliot School of Fine & Applied Arts, NuVu Studios, and Design Museum Boston, with many more makers participating. Come join this all-ages celebration of creativity in all its forms, get inspired to ignite your own ingenuity, and see some amazing things you might have never thought possible.
Tickets to the Maker Faire are $10 per person or $20 per person to both the Maker Faire and the Museum. Tickets can be purchased the day of the event or in advance at www.MakerFaireBoston.com.
Boston Mini Maker Faire is independently organized by Boston Children’s Museum and operated under license from Maker Media, Inc.
