Dear Kit Users, the disability awareness series Some Ways the Same, Some Way Different has been pulled from circulation due to old age, out of date information and general disrepair. We are working on a new series to address new information and thinking regarding a variety of physical and learning disabilities. The kits will be re-introduced one title at a time beginning in late 2007. I appreciate your patience while we update the series. Please visit these fine institutions in the meantime and feel free to contact the Kits staff with suggestions or comments. Kits@bostonchildrensmuseum.org

Some Ways the Same,
Some Ways Different
A disability awareness series for elementary school students.
This series of Museum Kits contains curriculum to introduce students
to disabilities and to foster appreciation of similarities and differences.
Based on the nationally known "What If You Couldn't?"
series, the "Some Ways the Same, Some Ways Different"
units have new activities, books and videos which focus on the accomplishments
and abilities of people who have disabilities. Each unit contains
a Teacher's Guide with background information, activity suggestions,
resources and a bibliography. These units are ideal for inclusion
classrooms to foster understanding among classmates.
Rental: 2 weeks, $25 per unit (10% discount for 3+ units at one
time)
