Created by Boston Children’s Museum and Chicago Children’s Museum, the free Learning Together curriculum was designed to help other museums focus their staff trainings on how to effectively engage both children and adults in ways that are meaningful and impactful to both. Learning Together contains over 200 pages of activities, instructional materials and other resources for informal learning institutions that seek to train front-line staff in the skills inherent to quality interactions with both children and adults in their learning environments. The activities in Learning Together range from basic to advanced; from quick to intensive; and address a wide range of issues. The centerpiece of the curriculum is a set of "Standards of Engagement", which are rooted in child development, family learning and museum theories. Click the link below to download this free PDF.
