What happens after I purchase my tile?
We will send you a packet that includes guidelines, special paper for you to create your tile artwork, and a postage paid return envelope. Once you mail the artwork back to us, we will scan the artwork to create a digital image. We then use the digital image to create the 6” x 6” ceramic tile. By using this technology, we can recreate the tile if it is ever damaged or needs to be moved.
Where do I design my tile?
You can create the artwork for your tile at home using the special packet we send you.
Where and when will my tile be displayed?
We will begin to install this next round of tiles in July 2009.
What kind of art materials can I use to design my tile?
Are photographs acceptable?
To ensure that the image reproduces well, please use flat media such as watercolor paints, markers, colored pencils, crayons, or finger paints. Three-dimensional objects and photographs will not be accepted.
Is text acceptable?
We prefer that you limit your text to your child’s initials in the lower right corner.
Is my tile purchase tax deductible?
Yes, tile purchases are 100% tax deductible.
