Artist Eri Honda will show children how to make sock puppets using socks, buttons and other fun supplies. Visitors can make their own unique characters!
After the workshop, children can put on a puppet show with their new sock puppets.
Eri will also share how she makes her dolls, cardboard sculptures and animation using recyclable materials.
Eri Honda is a Japanese sculptor and Illustrator. She is creates installations, animations, children books and paintings. Her installation works have been exhibited at National Academy Museum, Kinokuniya book store NY and Chashama Gallery in 2015. She wrote the children’s book, Message On A Wing, in 2013. Over 11,000 copies of the book were given to Japanese children living in the Fukushima area and to survivors from 9/11.
She graduated from the Fukuoka Design School (Japan) and the National Academy School of Fine Art (New York). She studied animation at School of Visual Art (New York).
