© 2012 Bill Gallery Investigate with all your senses! Try the scope on a rope, engage with science puzzles and activities, examine natural objects, and crawl under our turtle tank to get a belly-eye view of our resident reptiles. Get to know the natural world and come up with some questions you would like to investigate back at home!

"Notice, wonder, question, play" is the motto of this lively center of activity. Playing here is not only fun – it reinforces important skills of scientific inquiry as children observe, measure, compare, discuss, and work together to learn more about the world around them. These “habits of mind” are the critical science process skills, the skills of “doing science,” that children will need to use as they get older and learn more complex science concepts.

Investigate is part of the John Hancock Science Playground and is supported by contributions from Jeptha and Emily Wade, The Kenneth J. Germeshausen Foundation, and the Growdon Family.

The Museum will be closing early on Saturday, October 5 at 3:00pm for a private event.

PlaySpace is closed for the construction of a new space for 0 to 3 year olds and their caregivers.
While under renovation, look for special Pop-Up PlaySpace experiences and programs throughout the Museum. Learn more about Pop-Up PlaySpace
