Two pop-up spaces are designed especially for very young children:
Pop-Up PlaySpace 1 - Located on the 3rd floor walkway
Head to the end of walkway for a staffed area just for 0 to 3 year olds and their caregivers, and a crawl space for infants only. Explore trains, discover sensory materials, and share a book.
Pop-Up PlaySpace 2 – Located on the 3rd Floor at the back of the Boston Black exhibit
Follow the street to the back of Boston Black to find a space filled with activities perfect for curious toddlers. Send scarves soaring in a wind tunnel, cook a pretend meal, and go for a drive.
There’s something for very young children all over the Museum. If your child likes…
- Cars and trucks - visit Construction Zone
- Bubbles and water play - try Bubbles and Peep’s World
- Pretending - check out Arthur and Friends
- Puzzles and art - visit Countdown to Kindergarten and the Art Studio
- Climbing and jumping - explore Kid Power
Please feel free to nurse anywhere in the Museum. You are welcome to ask a staff member to help you find a quieter spot.
All restrooms have diaper changing stations. The Family Restroom on the 1st floor in Investigate has a child-sized toilet.
