Exploring Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math

STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) programs at the Museum are designed to engage children and their caregivers in STEAM skills and ways of thinking. Projects are designed to foster intergenerational learning, to share tools and technologies with participants—often tools or technologies they have not used before—and provide lots of opportunities for creative thinking and expression. Whether children are designing miniature houses from cardboard, building circuits, painting with natural dyes, or getting to know a live animal, STEAM activities foster children’s curiosity, creativity, and learning as they try things and explore the world around them.

Programs happen throughout the week, please check the daily calendar for times

Visitors are invited to build ramps, tunnels and pathways using cardboard, tubes, blocks, and tape. Then experiment with cars, balls, and things that roll—see how they move!

This program is recommended for kids 6+ and their grown-ups. Workshops are from 2-3pm and 3-4pm. Sign up is required. You can sign up outside the STEAM Studio.
