Boston Children’s Museum Announces New Chairman

November 3, 2016
Nirav Dagli to Succeed Michael Yogman, M.D.
Boston Children’s Museum is pleased to announce the election of Nirav Dagli to the position of Board Chairman. Dagli, who has served as a Museum Trustee since 2010, replaces Michael Yogman, M.D. who served as Chairman since 2011. Yogman will continue to serve as the Chair of the Museum’s Advisory Board. “We are deeply grateful to Michael for his leadership, energy, and creative ideas that have taken the Museum to a new level of prominence in the field of early childhood development,” said Carole Charnow, President & CEO. “Nirav’s insights and experience will now help us continue to strengthen our relevance to young families seeking to expose their children to innovative hands-on exhibits and programming in STEM, art, music, performing arts, and culture.”

Dagli is the founder and CEO of Spinnaker Analytics, a predictive modeling company, and of Spinnaker LLC, a management consultancy specializing in merger integration and efficiency improvement. Previously, he was a partner at Oliver Wyman and prior to that worked in the Rapid Prototyping Group at MITRE Corporation, where he developed satellite communication algorithms for the U.S. Army. He serves on the board of Better Business Bureau of Eastern Massachusetts, Maine, Rhode Island, and Vermont, where he was the past board chair. “I’m honored to be asked to contribute to the experience of joyful discovery that Boston Children’s Museum has championed so well and for so long,” said Dagli. “In the words of Richard Feynman, ‘In order to make progress, one must leave the door to the unknown ajar.’ I think that reflects the spirt of the Museum – open to the new and the untried.”

Dagli has an M.S. in Electrical Engineering and has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in Signal Processing at Boston University. He lives in Boston with his wife, two daughters and the family dog. The Dagli family enjoys traveling, skiing, hiking and visiting museums. Dagli also likes tinkering with his 1986 Jeep CJ7.
