Boston Children's Museum offers a variety of services to visitors in order to provide them with a wonderful Museum experience. Visitor Services Managers are always available to assist visitors with any questions, needs, or concerns.
Animals With the exception of service animals, animals are not permitted in the Museum.
Assistive Listening Devices Amplified listening devices are available for all KidStage performances. These devices are available at the Admissions desk.
ATM For your convenience, an ATM is available in the Museum Shop on the 1st floor.
Baby Care Baby changing tables are available in the Family Restrooms on each floor. Nursing is allowed anywhere in the Museum. There is a private nursing area in the PlaySpace exhibit on the 2nd floor.
Cleaning Procedures Boston Children's Museum maintains hospital-level cleaning and sanitizing standards.

Directions Boston Children's Museum is close to Boston's major highways and is easily accessible by public transportation, including the MBTA train, bus, and water shuttle.

Food & Drink Food and drink, other than water, are not allowed inside the Museum. There is an Au Bon Pain attached to the lunchroom on the 1st floor.
Inappropriate Language Swearing and offensive language are not permitted in the Museum...little ears are always listening.
Information Desk Our Information Desk is located in the 1st floor lobby. Services provided include: KidStage tickets, parking validation, lost and found, directions, visit planning, first aid, and lost persons.
Lockers Lockers are available on the 1st floor.
Lost and Found Lost and found is located at the 1st floor Information Desk. Please call our Lost and Found department at 617-426-6500 x325 with any questions.
Lost Persons For the safety of all, grown-ups should stay with their children (under the age of 16) at all times during their visit and should have a plan in place in case of accidental separation. If a child and grown-up become separated, a staff person in green should be notified. The Museum has a procedure in place for reuniting children with their grown-ups.
Maps Museum maps are available at both Admissions and the Information desk. The Museum offers maps in the following languages: Cape Verdean Creole, English, French, Haitian Creole, Portuguese, Somali, Spanish, Traditional Chinese, and Vietnamese. Restrooms Restrooms are located on each floor as well as in the 1st floor lunchroom. For the convenience of our visitors, there is a Family restroom on each floor.
The Shop at Boston Children's Museum Our Museum Shop is located in the 1st floor lobby. Please visit to browse a great variety of books, educational toys, logo gifts, plush, and more!
Smoking Smoking is not allowed on Museum property.
Strollers Stroller parking space is limited in the Museum. Please consider leaving your stroller at home or using a smaller umbrella-style stroller. Strollers can be parked in the 1st floor coatroom as well as on the ends of the 2nd and 3rd floor bridges. Please note that some exhibit spaces cannot accommodate strollers. Valuables should not be left in unattended strollers. The Museum has a limited number of strollers available for visitor use. These strollers are available at the Admissions desk.
Unaccompanied Adults Any adult who wishes to visit the Museum without a child must leave a photo ID at our Admissions desk. Likewise, any adult who enters the Museum without a child in his/her presence must also leave a photo ID. This policy is in place for the safety of our youngest visitors. Please note that the Museum defines an adult as any person age 16+.
Wheelchairs Adult and child-size wheelchairs are available at the Admission desk for visitors to borrow.
Wi-Fi Free Wi-Fi is available to visitors in Au Bon Pain on site.
